Job Summary
The Production Assistant supports daily manufacturing operations by assisting production staff, monitoring production processes, preparing materials, and ensuring that products are manufactured efficiently and according to company quality, safety, and hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the daily production and manufacturing of FMCG products.
- Prepare raw materials, packaging materials, and equipment needed for production.
- Assist machine operators and production workers during manufacturing operations.
- Monitor production activities to ensure products meet required quality and production standards.
- Operate basic production equipment and machinery as instructed.
- Perform weighing, measuring, mixing, filling, packing, labeling, and other production-related tasks.
- Conduct basic quality checks and report any defects, abnormalities, or production issues to the supervisor.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper sanitation of the production area, tools, and equipment.
- Follow company procedures on food/product safety, hygiene, GMP, and workplace safety.
- Assist with inventory checks and proper storage of raw materials and finished products.
- Record production quantities, materials used, and other required production information.
- Minimize material wastage and ensure proper handling of products and materials.
- Assist with equipment cleaning and basic preventive maintenance activities.
- Follow production schedules and instructions from the Production Supervisor or Manager.
- Perform other production-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma, vocational course, or equivalent; technical or manufacturing-related training is an advantage.
- Previous experience in FMCG, food manufacturing, beverage, cosmetics, pharmaceutical, or other manufacturing environments is preferred.
- Experience operating production machinery is an advantage.
- Knowledge of basic production processes, quality control, and workplace safety.
- Physically fit and able to perform repetitive tasks and work in a production environment.
- Willing to work on shifting schedules, overtime, weekends, or holidays when required.
- Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Reliable, hardworking, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
