Responsibilities
- Ensure company minimum brand standards are followed, and optional standards are applied when appropriate.
- Receive work assignments, master keys, and supplies from team leaders/order taker; sign key log accurately.
- Work cooperatively and flexibly with other departments.
- Implement changes based on Consumer Audit results.
- Check and verify room status reports.
- Accurately complete Attendant’s Verification Report.
- Check minibar, replenish items, and raise charges for used items.
- Report maintenance issues immediately.
- Clean rooms: vacuum carpets and furniture, dust, empty ashtrays and bins.
- Clean bathrooms (sink, tub, toilet, tiles, mirrors, floors) and polish metal/brass.
- Replenish bathroom and room supplies per brand standards.
- Arrange guest items neatly and spot-clean carpets when needed.
- Keep corridors, service pantries, and back areas clean and orderly.
- Remove room service trays and trolleys from rooms and corridors.
- Coordinate valet for laundry, dry cleaning, and pressing.
- Replace dirty linen/terry with clean sets as per layout.
- Ensure guest room security and privacy.
- Respond to guest calls, requests, and complaints in assigned areas.
- Maintain and improve guest satisfaction scores.
- Report lost or damaged items.
- Clean and maintain pantry and toilet areas.
- Clean and maintain corridors and service areas.
- Clean and store trolleys; check and clean operating equipment.
- Replace light bulbs in rooms when needed.
- Refresh flowers in guest rooms.
- Provide evening turndown service.
- Keep fire exits and stairways clear at all times.
- Update room status via telephone system.
- Deliver service that creates positive guest experiences and “moments of delight.”
- Provide a comfortable space for guests to relax, meet, and connect.
- Anticipate guest needs and exceed expectations.
- Deliver excellent guest service at all times.
- Support internal customers and handle complaints courteously and efficiently.
- Report guest issues to Team Leader/Assistant Manager promptly.
- Maintain positive relationships with guests and colleagues.
- Attend required trainings and meetings.
- Follow hotel rules, safety, fire, hygiene, and health procedures.
- Maintain high standards of personal grooming and presentation.
- Adapt to changes in housekeeping operations.
- Uphold hotel values and support Hyatt goals and standards.
- Perform any other reasonable duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Ability to follow brand standards and hotel procedures consistently.
- Basic knowledge of housekeeping duties (room cleaning, bathroom cleaning, linen replacement, and turndown service).
- Ability to handle cleaning tools and operating equipment safely.
- Good attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness, order, and room standards.
- Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and support team operations.
- Good communication skills for responding to guest requests and reporting issues.
- Customer service mindset with ability to handle guest concerns politely and efficiently.
- Physically fit to perform cleaning tasks and carry supplies/trolleys.
- Basic understanding of hygiene, safety, fire, and security procedures in a hotel setting.
- Professional appearance and grooming in line with hotel standards.
- Flexibility to work with different departments and adapt to operational changes.
- Reliability in handling keys, reports, and guest room security responsibly.
- Willingness to attend training and follow hotel policies and values.
