Manage and assess the efficiency of network entities, their attributes, and security access. Evaluate network infrastructure performance by monitoring usage and load patterns, and recommend improvements to maintain optimal service levels.
Review and assess infrastructure to ensure adequacy and compliance with established procedures and guidelines.
Act as a liaison between the Information Technology department and other departments to ensure organizational strategic business initiatives are supported.
As part of the DCT management team, contribute to the development of strategic long-range network, desktop, and telecommunications plans to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
Provide the DCT Department Head with periodic performance and usage reports, as well as other relevant statistics to support technology-related decision-making.
Integrate information and review cost estimates, timelines, and Bills of Materials (BOM) for new projects. Prepare infrastructure project specifications and collaborate with product solution architects. Oversee projects to ensure compliance with specifications.
Create and maintain documentation of operational and administrative procedures. Manage and update diagrams of network and telecommunications cabling and hardware.
Stay current with developments in the information technology field. Learn new systems, methods, and processes, and advise management on current trends and future directions in infrastructure technology relevant to BPICT’s needs.
Design and develop network utilities, gateways, and interface programs as required.
Conduct routine maintenance activities such as equipment inspections, cleaning, and testing to ensure optimal performance and prevent unexpected downtime.
Implement robust monitoring tools to track key performance metrics, detect anomalies, and receive real-time alerts for potential data center issues.
Perform regular capacity planning assessments to anticipate resource requirements, scale infrastructure appropriately, and prevent system overloads.
Enforce strict security protocols, access controls, surveillance systems, and cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive data and infrastructure assets.
Develop and test comprehensive disaster recovery plans to ensure rapid data recovery and business continuity during emergencies or outages.
Maintain detailed documentation of equipment, configurations, and processes to support troubleshooting, upgrades, and infrastructure changes.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices to mitigate risk and maintain data integrity.
Provide knowledge transfer to DCT team members to enhance technical skills, update knowledge on emerging technologies, and improve response capabilities.
Conduct regular testing, drills, and simulations of disaster scenarios, equipment failures, and maintenance procedures to validate readiness and identify improvement areas.
