Responsibilities
· The Electrical Technician is responsible for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of plant equipment.
· Perform repairs and troubleshooting on industrial machinery, including conveyors, air compressors, boilers, cooling towers, R/O & DI plants, generators, motors, switchgears, and interlocking systems in a PLC-controlled environment.
· Execute preventive maintenance tasks as assigned for specific areas.
· Enforce plant rules and regulations consistently, develop cost-reduction strategies, uphold departmental standards, and maintain effective communication with supervisors and workers.
· Ensure compliance with safety and Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards, and perform all duties in adherence to safety protocols.
· Must have strong knowledge of manufacturing practices. Effective communication skills and active listening are essential. Foster an environment of honesty, respect, and teamwork.
Qualifications
· A Diploma in Electrical/Electronic/Instrumentation Engineering with 5 years of hands-on experience in the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of industrial equipment, or
· An ITI certification in Electrical/Electronic/Instrumentation Engineering with 7 years of hands-on experience in the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of industrial equipment.
· Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical diagrams, with experience working with S5/S7 PLC systems and SCADA. Knowledge of electrical tools and instruments is essential. Experience in instrument calibration is an advantage.
· Experience working in a continuous-running plant environment is required.
