Responsibilities

· The Mechanical Technician is responsible for the daily operations and maintenance of plant equipment.

· Perform repairs and troubleshooting on industrial machinery, including conveyors, gearboxes, air compressors, boilers, cooling towers, R/O & DI plants, and generators.

· Carry out assigned preventive maintenance tasks for specific areas.

· Enforce plant rules and regulations, develop strategies to reduce plant costs, maintain departmental standards, and ensure effective communication with all supervisors and team members.

· Ensure adherence to safety and Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards, performing all tasks in compliance with safety protocols.

· Possess a strong understanding of manufacturing practices and be an effective communicator and active listener. Foster a culture of honesty, respect, and teamwork.


Qualifications

· A Diploma in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering with 5 years of hands-on experience in the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of industrial equipment, or

· An ITI Mechanical Fitter (Mechanical Maintenance) certification with 7 years of hands-on experience in the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of industrial equipment.

· Proficiency in reading and interpreting pneumatic and hydraulic schematic diagrams.

· Welding and gas cutting knowledge is a plus.

· Experience working in a continuous-running plant environment is required.
