Responsibilities
- Supervise, manage and motivate staff for the department including rostering, discipline, training and recruitment in liaison with HRD Department and review deployment of security personnel.
- Maintain customer service standards for POS, direct deliveries and customer relations and supervision of cash handling at POS including investigation of variances.
- Review and maintain departmental cleanliness, layout, merchandising, completion and integrity of price tags and implement approved promotions including liaison with suppliers for approved in-store displays and promotions.
- Inventory management including maintenance of efficient stock turnover with regular ordering and rotation, ensure accuracy of inward stock transfers and direct customer deliveries, maintain the integrity of prices and barcodes and periodic stock takes and investigation of variances.
Qualifications
- Experience in POS, stock and inventory management.
- Minimum 5 years managerial experience in a large multi department supermarket or retail store environment.
- Mature with leadership qualities.
- Co-operation and friendly manner so as to develop good relationships with staff and clients.
- Responsible work habits.
- Bachelor’s degree in retail sales, marketing OR Qualified by Experience
