Job Purpose: To oversee the kitchen operations, manage staff, and ensure the quality of food served meets the highest standards.
Job Responsibilities:
- Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
- Modify menus or create new ones that meet quality standards
- Estimate food requirements and food/labor costs
- Supervise kitchen staff’s activities
- Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs
Qualifications:
- Gender: Male or Female.
- Educational Background:
- A graduate of BS Hotel and Restaurant Management, Culinary Arts, or other related courses.
- High school graduates are also welcome, provided they have at least 5 years of solid experience working in a professional kitchen.
- Experience:
- A minimum of 3 years of solid experience in a professional kitchen.
- Proficiency in Western, European, and International cuisines.
- Experience working in both hot and cold kitchens.
- Proven ability to prepare à la carte dishes and/or manage buffet setups.
- Prior experience in casual, semi-fine, or fine dining settings is preferred.
